We get a pretty full-on winter -- it will be in the twenties/thirties (highs) most of the time from December through mid-February. It DOES get/stay very windy though, which often makes it a bit gawdawful at times. Snow comes frequently enough. But it's nothing like what you all get, and nothing like what some of the more northern states get...
